Newcomers to the Premier League Brentford continue their campaign on Tuesday, after a short trip to Meadow Park to take on Boreham Wood.

The newly-promoted team won the AFC Wimbledon 1-0, while their fifth visitors fell to a 3-1 victory over Luton Town in their latest match.

Match Preview
Boreham Wood got off to a flying start by using home games against the Luton Town club, Luke Garrard’s men upset despite the big show.

They took the lead through the referee in the 25th minute, but the visitors ’momentum finally showed as Jordan Clark’s support and Carlos Mendes Gomes’ goal turned the game around.

Nonetheless, the Hertfordshire outfit will get a good start from a game that saw them lead a Championship game until the 70th season, as they enter their seventh round in England.

Despite being strong in the 2019-20 campaign, finishing in fifth after the game was undefeated due to COVID-19, Garrard’s side took a bit back in the past, ending in 14th spot winning just 13 of their Game 42.

With another chance to join the Second League and the upcoming campaign starting next month, the Plant will look forward to building momentum through another strong performance against the opposition.

They welcomed a Brentford team that won the top flight last season after several years.

While Thomas Frank’s men looked to have missed this opportunity in a boring end during the entire season dominating their chances of being two-pointers, they looked forward to the game, coming on behind to beat AFC Bournemouth 3-2 on aggregate thanks to goals from Ivan Toney, Vitaly Janelt and Marcus Forss.

That saw them book Swansea City and Wembley, the first goals from Toney and Emiliano Marcondes meaning they were in control everywhere, eventually seeing a 2-0 win to get on the first flight for the first time since. 1947.

Frank’s men started their preparations for this season with a friendly at AFC Wimbledon, with Joel Valencia heading in a 1-0 win.

They will be careful to put in a second win of the season ahead of time to save the upcoming home.

Team News
Boreham Wood’s opening game saw a number of new signings, Jacob Mendy, Will Evans, and Frankie Raymond hoping to play an important role during this season.

Mendy developed a great attacking style to set their goals in the game, he must have the ability to test the Brentford defense on Tuesday with a bomb going down the left side.

Nathan Ashmore has an ongoing experience starting between the trees, as he was an important player last season.

Although they changed the game at half-time, with Brentford leading the way to full potential against Wimbledon, Thomas Frank would continue to give the Chiefs minutes before the break.

Attackers Ivan Toney, Bryan Mbeumo and Joel Valencia should be highlighted, while Ethan Pinnock will defend the defensive system.

Midfielder Vitaly Janelt injured a muscular joint in the first 15 minutes of the game, he should not have risked it despite Frank suggesting the injury is not serious.

Shandon Baptiste, on the other hand, is back after a long spell on the sidelines with an injury, he will be able to get more minutes.
